Business Awards

The Business Awards is an annual awards event hosted by the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce.

Recognizing exceptional businesses, organizations and individuals in our community boosts confidence and encourages growth on both personal and professional levels while sending the message that the community appreciates all that they do.

2023 Business Awards Recipients:

Retail Business Award: Awarded to a local business which demonstrates good business standards and ethics; provide exemplary retail products and or service to their clientele.

Outstanding Customer Service Award: Awarded o the owner, manager or employee of a local business who is dedicated to continuously striving to exceed customer expectations.

Not for Profit: A society or association within the District of Sparwood; is recognized as socially responsible and is well managed with measurable results benefitting the community.

New Business Award: A company that has started in the last 2 years or less; has significant business potential; shows growth and a strong commitment.

Community Youth Award: If you know a youth in our community who has made outstanding commitment, achievements or volunteered.

Community Spirit Award: This is an individual or business who has community spirit. This business or person might be your friend, neighbor, and or colleague. They might only do something once a year (ie: plan an event, decorate , donate), but it puts a smile on the faces in our community.

Citizen of the Year Award: The citizen of the year is an individual that gives endlessly to our community all year. Your nomination should be someone that shows leadership, dedication, and a positive impact on our community.

Business Scarecrow Award: This is our sixth annual Scarecrow competition. All businesses that participate receive a stake for the scarecrow and a bag of straw. That’s it. They are displayed in the mall and the public votes on their favorite.
